Major upgrades to Correctional Centre
The Junee Gaol Correctional Centre, NSW was expanded to create a total of 480 new beds.
The upgrades included four new 120-bed maximum-security accommodation blocks built using prefabricated modular cells, a new industries complex to provide employment, education and programs to inmates and a new satellite health clinic, segregation block and recreation areas.
As part of this project, upgrades were made to improve facilities for the whole prison, including a new dog squad building, new bulk stores, a new visits area, new administration building and new staff amenities. The female transition unit was also expanded.
With the relevant product range, knowledge and availability; our Wagga Wagga branch was chosen to supply a number of structural and security fasteners along with chemical and masonry anchors for the construction of the project.
