Yarwun expansion project
Yarwun Alumina Refinery is situated within the north-west of Gladstone, Queensland. The expansion project ‘Yarwun 2’ more than doubled the capacity of alumina production. The project also included components such as a cogeneration facility which reduces the greenhouse intensity, whilst also feeding surplus electricity back into the power grid.
Over a 4-year period, our Gladstone branch supplied millions of fasteners and built a strong relationship with the engineering and construction teams of this expansion project. This helped to ensure the project ran efficiently from a supply and cost perspective.
